Ghost Town: Cisco, Utah

This site contains a collection of memorabilia from the town of Cisco, Utah. Cisco is located approximately 1 1/2 miles south of I-70 in eastern Utah in the vicinity of Arches & Canyonlands National Parks.

Looking for any historical items from Cisco. The site will contain photo's of buildings, vehicles, people, artifacts and other items dating back to 1951 (so far).

Many movies were filmed in Cisco. The site will contain information regarding those movies.

Interest in Cisco started in 1970 while travelling on vacation with my family. We happened upon the filming of Vanishing Point! Several slides were taken of the vehicles used in the movie. Also of Barry Newman and the movie ending bulldozer.

Scenes from Thelma & Louise were filmed partially in Cisco, Utah in 1990. About a block away from where the car crashed in VP. Thelma & Louise met an old man at his run down house and used the sink attached to his house. They later took the old man's hat and drove off into the desert. (see photo)

Scenes from Pontiac Moon were also filmed in Cisco, Utah in 1993. The scene was a car repair shop. The old building that was used for the garage has since been converted to a small store that caters to river rafters. It is called the Cisco Landing store. (see photo)
